What is Platinum?
Platinum: a rare precious metal used mostly in cars and industry.
Platinum is far rarer than gold, and most of it comes from South Africa. Its largest use is in catalytic converters for diesel and hybrid vehicles, followed by jewellery, industry and investment.
Because supply is concentrated in one country and demand depends on the car industry, it reacts to mine disruptions and to shifts in vehicle production more than to the forces that drive gold. On this venue it trades thinly, and only on Binance.
