How to read it. A lower loss limit is stricter. A higher profit split means you keep more of what you earn. Static max loss never moves. Trailing max loss moves up as your balance grows. End-of-day trailing moves up only once a day, at the daily close.

“Not published” means the firm does not state that rule. “Some values from review sites” means at least one figure comes from independent review sites, not the firm’s own pages. Rules change often: open a firm for sources and confirm on its site before you buy.

METHOD5 principles

How we compare

  1. 01

We use each firm’s official website, rules and help center first; independent review sites only when official pages were unavailable, and we say so.

  2. 02

We compare entry-level published plans. Promotions and discount codes are excluded.

  3. 03

Where a rule is not published, we write “not published” rather than guess.

  4. 04

QATS figures come from our live plan catalog — the same numbers you see on the Challenges page.

  5. 05

FAQ4 questions

Frequently asked questions

01Which prop firms allow bots?

Among the firms we compare, QATS, HyroTrader, E8 Markets (CFDs and perps), Funded Trading Plus and Topstep (through its API) publish policies that allow automated trading. Crypto Fund Trader, FTMO and FundedNext allow EAs with conditions; BitFunded, Apex Trader Funding and Alpha Capital Group do not allow fully automated trading.

02Which prop firms offer crypto perpetuals?

Among the firms we compare, QATS, HyroTrader, Breakout, E8 Markets and Crypto Fund Trader (through Bybit) offer crypto perpetuals, all on simulated accounts. Forex firms usually offer crypto as CFDs, and futures firms such as Topstep and Apex offer CME micro Bitcoin and Ether futures.

03What is the difference between crypto perpetuals and crypto CFDs?

Perpetual futures track exchange order books, trade 24/7 and charge funding between longs and shorts. Crypto CFDs at forex prop firms are priced by a broker feed and usually carry 1:1 to 1:5 leverage.

04How often is this comparison updated?

Figures were last checked on 2026-10-29. Prop firm rules change often, so each page lists its sources and you should confirm on the firm’s site before buying.
