Make layout changes before entering a trade. Confirm that account, instrument, position controls, and order confirmation remain easy to see.
Select a numbered step to zoom straight to that control.
Choose the workspace
Open Layout from the terminal command bar. Select the chart count and visible panels offered for your screen size.
Use the active chart to choose the instrument linked to the order ticket. In a multi-chart layout, confirm the selected pane before an order.
Choose Right rail or On chart for desktop order entry, then Quick trade or Full ticket. The full ticket exposes pending-order settings.
Keep useful controls visible
Enable Market depth if you use the book or Ladder (DOM). Ladder click-to-trade is armed by default; choose Disable trading on the ladder if you only want to read it.
Keep Positions and Orders reachable. Full-chart or focus views should not be mistaken for a flat account.
Use Layout → Features to review Order confirmation and Hotkeys. Hotkeys work by default, for example Shift+X flattens everything; clear the ones you do not want.
Confirmations and persistence
The confirmation dialog shows the proposed order; Enter submits it and Esc cancels.
If you choose Don’t ask again, review Order confirmation in Layout before your next session. Quick actions may then submit without that dialog.
Layout preferences are stored in the current browser. After changing device or browser, verify your panels and confirmation settings again.
Common questions
Do my layouts transfer to another browser?
Layout preferences are local to the current browser. Review them when changing device or browser.
Can a hotkey place an order?
Yes. Hotkeys work by default: Shift+B buys and Shift+S sells at market, and Shift+X flattens without asking. Review or clear them in Layout → Features → Hotkeys.
You’re done when…
