What is SanDisk?
SanDisk: flash memory for data centres, phones and computers.
SanDisk makes NAND flash memory and the drives built from it. It became an independent listed company in 2025, when it was separated from Western Digital.
Memory is the most cyclical part of the chip industry: prices swing with supply, and profits swing much further. Demand from AI data centres has made it one of the most heavily traded stocks on this venue, and one of the most volatile.

When does SNDKUSDT trade?
The perpetual trades around the clock, but it follows a market that is open 09:30 to 16:00 New York time. Outside those hours, and at weekends, the book is thinner and spreads are wider.
What are the risks of trading SanDisk on a prop account?
- Results are published four times a year, after or before the New York session. A move of several percent in minutes is normal on those days.
- The market it follows is closed at weekends. A position held through the weekend meets Monday’s opening price, which can be far from Friday’s close.
- A cyclical stock in a strong trend: daily ranges of five percent are ordinary.
