What is Nasdaq 100?
The Nasdaq-100: the largest technology and growth companies in the United States.
QQQ tracks the hundred largest non-financial companies listed on Nasdaq. A handful of technology groups, the makers of chips, software and cloud services, account for close to half of it.
Because its companies are valued on earnings far in the future, it is more sensitive to interest rates than the S&P 500, and it moves further on news about artificial intelligence and semiconductors.
