Have an active crypto Evaluation that has not traded yet, and a Bybit Demo Trading account holding only USDT at the challenge size with no positions.
Select a numbered step to zoom straight to that control.
Check that your challenge can move
- Only an active crypto Evaluation that has not traded in the QATS terminal can move: no fills, open positions or working orders.
- A challenge that already traded gets This account has already traded in the QATS terminal; only an account without trades can move to Bybit.
- One Bybit account (UID) serves one challenge. A UID already linked elsewhere is refused.
- A Bybit Demo challenge is not Live Funded and not the QATS API sandbox. It stays an Evaluation under your plan rules.
Prepare Bybit and connect
On Bybit, switch to Demo Trading. Close every position. Hold only USDT, set to your challenge size; QATS accepts at most $25 in other coins.
Still in Demo Trading, create an API key with Read-Only access and Orders and Positions ticked. Leave Wallet and Assets unticked. A key that can transfer or withdraw is refused.
In QATS, open Profile & settings → External connections → Trade on Bybit. Choose the challenge, paste the key and the secret, and press Connect Bybit.
QATS checks the key with Bybit first. The message names any failed check: not Demo Trading, not read-only, open positions, a balance other than USDT, or equity far from the challenge size.
Trade and follow the rules
- Trade on Bybit Demo itself, or in a terminal that supports it: Bybit’s app, Tealstreet, Tiger.Trade 23.2+ or ccxt/Freqtrade with demo trading on. Give that terminal its own Demo Trading key; QATS keeps its read-only key.
- TradingView’s Bybit panel, ATAS, Quantower and CScalp cannot trade a Bybit Demo account.
- Trade in QATS shows the Bybit state instead of the QATS terminal: QATS equity, Bybit equity, profit target, daily loss, max drawdown, positions, orders and Rule findings. New activity appears within about 15 seconds; Sync now refreshes at once.
- Only USDT perpetuals count. QATS applies your plan’s loss limits, leverage and position limits and restricted symbols to the mirrored account. A hedged position blocks a pass.
When the challenge goes under review
- Any deposit, withdrawal, transfer or bonus on that Bybit account freezes the challenge as Under review. Starting equity is fixed when you connect.
- Removing the key, a rejected or expired key, or more than an hour without a sync also puts it under review. QATS warns you 7 days and 1 day before the key expires; use Replace API key in time to avoid a gap.
- Support reviews and reopens the challenge. Then reconnect the same Bybit account.
- Never send the key or secret to support. Paste them only into the Trade on Bybit form.
Common questions
Can I move a challenge back to the QATS terminal?
The QATS screens do not offer that. Contact support with the account ID if you need a change.
Why is my challenge under review?
A deposit, withdrawal or transfer on the Bybit account, a removed or expired key, or a long gap in syncing freezes it. Support reviews it; then reconnect the same Bybit account.
You’re done when…
Trade shows your Bybit challenge as Connected · monitored, with the same equity on QATS and Bybit.
