Use Chrome 130 or later on a computer and have a QATS account that trades in the QATS terminal. A challenge moved to Bybit is traded on Bybit.
Select a numbered step to zoom straight to that control.
Install and connect
On a computer with Chrome 130 or later, find QATS Trade in the Chrome Web Store and choose Add to Chrome. Pin it from the puzzle icon so its button stays in the toolbar.
In QATS, open Profile & settings → External connections → Trade from charts → QATS Trade for Chrome. If the panel offers Download for Chrome instead, follow its Developer mode steps; it installs the same extension.
A QATS window opens by itself, or press Connect with QATS. Check that it shows the same short code as QATS Trade, such as K7-3QX. A different code, or a window you did not open, means choose Deny.
Tick each account QATS Trade may trade, then choose Approve. Approving needs a sign-in from the last 12 hours, and QATS emails you about every new connection.
No key is created, shown or pasted. QATS Trade sees and trades only the accounts you ticked. It cannot request payouts, see billing or personal details, or create keys.
Place an order from the ticket
Open a TradingView chart, such as BINANCE:BTCUSDT.P. The ticket opens top right and follows the chart: switch to ETHUSDT.P and it trades ETHUSDT.
Choose Market, Limit or Stop. Enter size in coins, in USD, or as Risk $: the dollars you lose if the stop loss is hit.
Tick Take profit / stop loss to add levels. The ◎ button next to a price field takes the price from your next click on the chart.
Press Buy / Long or Sell / Short, read the confirmation and confirm. Orders go to the live QATS server with the same rules and risk checks as the terminal. A refusal starts with Not sent and says why.
Read the price check
- Under the QATS price the ticket compares it with the chart, for example Chart 76,712.4 · QATS 76,710.1 · 0.01% apart.
- The tolerance is fixed at 0.1%. There is no setting for it. Further apart, the line turns amber and an order at market asks first, naming both prices.
- A chart of another market, such as the NVDA stock instead of the NVDAUSDT perpetual, stops Buy and Sell until you switch the chart or pick the instrument in the ticket.
- An order at market also sends QATS the price you saw. QATS refuses to fill it more than 0.1% away from that price (PRICE_REFERENCE_MISMATCH), and nothing is placed.
Manage the position on the chart
- Your position, its stop loss and take profit, and your working orders are drawn on the chart. Drag a line to move it; press × to remove a stop or target or cancel an order.
- A position without a stop or target shows a dotted + SL or + TP handle. Drag it to the price you want.
- The position row offers Close, Close ½, Breakeven and Reverse. Breakeven moves the stop loss to your entry price and works only while the position is in profit.
- Every action started on the chart asks for one click to confirm, even with one-click trading on. QATS lines are not saved with your TradingView drawings.
Leverage, slippage and loss limits
- On a crypto instrument the ticket sends a leverage from 1× up to the instrument’s maximum on your account. With a position open or entries working on that instrument, the leverage is fixed to theirs and shows as Leverage (fixed).
- Max slippage (0.1%, 0.25%, 0.5%, 1% or Off; 0.5% at first) applies to a market order that opens or adds. Closing is never held back by it.
- Under the account line the ticket shows what is left before the daily loss limit, the maximum loss and your own daily stop, as QATS counts them.
- Each confirmation says what the order loses at its stop loss. An order whose stop would go past a limit always asks first.
Choose a layout and appearance
Press the gear in the ticket’s bar.
Choose a layout. Minimal shows size and Buy / Sell only. Standard adds the account, instrument, order type, leverage, take profit / stop loss, position and working orders. Full shows every block. Tick or untick single blocks for your own mix.
Set Size (Compact, Normal, Large), Width, Dock (Right, Left, Floating) and Theme (Chart, Dark, Light). Reset to defaults brings back the standard ticket.
The ticket never fades or turns see-through. No layout hides a confirmation, a refusal or a price warning. With Order type hidden every order is a market order; with Take profit / stop loss hidden none is sent.
Several accounts, shortcuts and disconnecting
To trade more than one account, tick them all when you approve, or press Change accounts later. The account name in the ticket becomes a switch, and every confirmation names the account.
Keyboard shortcuts are off by default. In the extension’s settings, turn on Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+B buys and Alt+Shift+S sells with the ticket’s size. With confirmation on, press the shortcut again to confirm.
To disconnect, press Disconnect in the extension’s settings, or Revoke under Profile & settings → External connections → Connected browsers. Positions and working orders stay as they are.
On Binance, Bybit or another chart site, press the QATS Trade toolbar button and choose Show the panel here.
Terms, privacy and TradingView
- Before the download, or before Approve if you added QATS Trade from the Chrome Web Store, QATS asks you to tick four statements and accept the QATS Integrations Terms. It asks again only when a new version of those terms is published.
- QATS Trade keeps its connection and settings in your browser and sends them only to QATS, with the orders you confirm and the chart price for the price check. It does not collect your browsing history.
- Orders fill at QATS prices under your plan’s rules, not at the chart price. You are responsible for orders sent with one click or a keyboard shortcut.
- QATS Trade is a QATS tool, not affiliated with TradingView. TradingView is a trademark of TradingView, Inc. QATS is not affiliated with or endorsed by TradingView.
Common questions
Can I change the 0.1% price check?
No. The tolerance is fixed at 0.1% and applies to every order at market. If the chart and QATS differ more, check that the chart shows the same perpetual.
Does QATS Trade use the test server?
No. QATS Trade always connects to the live QATS server, prop.qats.us. Use the free API sandbox for practice.
