Sign in with a verified email. The free sandbox has separate virtual funds and credentials and does not require a purchased challenge.
Select a numbered step to zoom straight to that control.
Create the virtual account
Sign up and verify your email. A paid challenge is not required for the sandbox.
Open Sandbox account from your account switcher, then choose Keys & connections. You can also use the Open API sandbox link below.
Choose Market and Price venue, then select Create free sandbox. Check the resulting Crypto or TradFi account, exchange, active status, and virtual $100,000 starting balance.
Create an isolated key and test
Select Create sandbox key. Configure the account, name, permissions, and optional address restriction; confirm and save the secret once.
Copy the Sandbox API base URL shown for your deployment. On the public site this is https://prop.qats.us/api/sandbox/v1; the purchased-account API uses https://prop.qats.us/api/v1. A dev-site address is only for that dev deployment.
Check that an account-read response identifies the sandbox. Send a small test order and verify its command result, order, fills, and position.
Sandbox keys and purchased-account keys are not interchangeable. Test funds cannot be withdrawn and do not qualify a challenge or earn performance payouts.
Test TradingView separately
In Sandbox → Keys & connections, select TradingView alerts and Create webhook. A regular sandbox API key is not a TradingView webhook setup.
Use the webhook URL and JSON message issued for that sandbox connection in their separate TradingView fields.
After an alert fires, check the sandbox signal log and resulting position or working order. Follow the illustrated TradingView guide for the alert setup.
Reset and reconnect your integration
Stop your test integration before resetting. In Keys & connections, expand Start over with a fresh sandbox and select Review sandbox reset. Choose the market and venue for the new test account, and read the confirmation.
Confirm Reset sandbox only when you are ready to retire the old test account. The reset cancels its orders, clears exposure, and revokes its API keys and TradingView webhooks.
Check the replacement account and virtual starting balance. Create new credentials, update your integration, and test a read before sending commands again.
Purchased accounts are unaffected. Resetting a sandbox is different from paying for an Evaluation reset.
If the page says Trading sandbox is not available on this deployment, do not assume that dev or a purchased account is a substitute sandbox. Contact support with the page URL and displayed error.
Common questions
Will sandbox trades affect my challenge or payouts?
Sandbox accounts and keys are separate. They cannot produce real execution, a payout, or Funded qualification.
My integration stopped working after a reset.
Reset revokes old sandbox keys. Create a replacement, update the server secret, and confirm the sandbox account and base URL before retrying.
You’re done when…
The account response identifies the separate sandbox environment and virtual account before you send commands.
If this does not match what you see, use Common questions above or contact support with the page and account details.Continue in QATS
